中铁第一勘察设计院集团有限公司（铁一院）成立于1953年，总部设在陕西省西安市，是新中国成立的第一批大型综合性铁路勘察设计单位，是世界500强中国铁建股份有限公司的全资子公司，综合实力位于全国勘察设计百强前列。

China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd. (Tieyi Institute) was established in 1953, with its headquarters located in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. It is one of the first large-scale comprehensive railway survey and design units established in New China and a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, a Fortune 500 company. Its overall strength ranks among the top 100 in national survey and design capabilities.

铁一院业务范围涵盖工程规划、勘察、设计、咨询、监理、总承包、资本运营等全产业链。建院以来，深度参与了我国交通发展战略、全国中长期铁路网布局、省区综合交通发展规划、城市群和都市圈多层次轨道交通网布局等重要板块的规划研究；牵头完成了西北西藏地区的铁路网规划及关中平原、兰西、宁夏沿黄、西安都市圈等区域多层次轨道交通规划，以及“一带一路”互联互通通道、稳边固边保障通道、包（银）海客运主通道、出疆入藏便捷通道、能源战略保供通道等一批国家路网重点通道的规划研究工作，是长三角、粤港澳等发达地区多网融合规划及互联互通体系布局的重点参与单位之一。

The business scope of China Railway First Survey and Design Institute covers the entire industrial chain, including engineering planning, surveying, design, consulting, supervision, general contracting, and capital operations. Since its establishment, the institute has deeply participated in planning research for key sectors such as China's transportation development strategy, the national medium-and long-term railway network layout, provincial comprehensive transportation development plans, and multi-level rail transit network layouts for urban agglomerations and metropolitan areas. It has led the completion of railway network planning for the Tibet region in Northwest China, as well as multi-level rail transit planning for regions including the Guanzhong Plain, Lanzhou-Xi' an, Ningxia Yellow River Basin, and Xi'an Metropolitan Area. Additionally, it has conducted planning research for a series of national road network key corridors, including the Belt and Road connectivity channel, border stabilization and security support channel, Baoji-Yinchuan-Haikou passenger transport main channel, Xinjiang-Tibet access channel, and energy strategic supply channel. The institute is one of the key participants in multi-network integration planning and interconnected system layouts for developed regions such as the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

建院至今，铁一院先后主持设计建成了以中国西部铁路网为代表的4万多公里铁路（其中高速铁路7500公里），奉献了我国第一条电气化铁路、第一条沙漠铁路、世界第一条高原冻土铁路、第一条湿陷性黄土地区高速铁路、第一条高寒地区高速铁路、一次性新建里程最长高速铁路……在全国50余个城市开展轨道交通业务，涵盖地铁、轻轨、市域轨道交通、有轨电车、磁浮等多种类型的规划研究和勘察设计，设计线路总长度超1100公里，是国家发展改革委遴选确定的轨道交通投资咨询评估机构。近年来，铁一院在全国11个省区开展了20余项旅游轨道交通研究和设计，成为“交通+旅游+N”模式的领军者，并持续拓展新型轨道交通、生态环保、TOD、站城融合（片区）开发等新兴业务领域。紧跟“一带一路”倡议步伐，铁一院先后在全球40多个国家承揽了超过2000多公里的铁路、公路、地铁等项目勘察设计咨询监理任务，先后开展中吉乌、中尼、中巴、中蒙俄、中吉塔阿伊等5个铁路通道和13个口岸通道铁路前期研究工作，目前正向国际高端咨询领域转型升级。

Since its establishment, the First Railway Survey and Design Institute has successively undertaken the design and construction of over 40,000 kilometers of railways, represented by China's western railway network (including 7,500 kilometers of high-speed railways), contributing to China's first electrified railway, first desert railway, world's first plateau permafrost railway, first high-speed railway in collapsible loess areas, first high-speed railway in cold regions, and the longest single-phase high-speed railway in one go. It has conducted rail transit operations in over 50 cities nationwide, covering planning research and survey design for various types including subways, light rail, regional rail transit, trams, and maglev systems, with a total designed route length exceeding 1,100 kilometers. The institute has been selected by the National Development and Reform Commission as a leading rail transit investment consulting and evaluation agency. In recent years, the First Railway Survey and Design Institute has carried out more than 20 tourism rail transit research and design projects across 11 provinces and regions, becoming a pioneer in the "Transportation + Tourism + N" model while continuously expanding into emerging business areas such as new rail transit systems, ecological environmental protection, TOD (Transit-Oriented Development), and station-city integration (area) development. Aligning with the Belt and Road Initiative, the institute has undertaken survey, design, consultation, and supervision tasks for over 2,000 kilometers of railways, highways, and subways in more than 40 countries worldwide. It has conducted preliminary research for five railway corridors (China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan, China-Nepal, China-Pakistan, China-Mongolia-Russia, and China-Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan-Aytau) and 13 port corridor railways, currently transitioning toward high-end international consulting services.

铁一院始终坚持技术立院、创新强院，先后荣获各类国家和省部级奖项1900余项。其中，国家科技进步特等奖4项，一等奖3项，全国优秀工程勘察设计奖24项，国家优质工程金奖4项，拥有专利技术1800余项，摘得FIDIC（国际咨询工程师联合会）大奖17项，主编了国家、行业、地方、团体、企业等外部标准及标准设计150余项。拥有以工程设计、勘察、咨询3项综合甲级资质为核心，30余项专业资质为补充的全产业链资质体系。建有“极端环境岩土和隧道工程智能建养全国重点实验室”“特殊复杂环境下长大隧道建造技术铁路行业工程研究中心”“陕西省铁道及地下交通工程重点实验室”“中国铁建 BIM 工程实验室”等创新平台。

China Railway First Survey and Design Institute has always adhered to the principles of technology-driven development and innovation-driven growth, having won over 1,900 national and provincial/ministerial-level awards. Among these, it has received 4 Special Prizes and 3 First Prizes for National Science and Technology Progress Awards, 24 National Outstanding Engineering Survey and Design Awards, and 4 National Quality Engineering Gold Awards. The institute holds more than 1,800 patented technologies and has won 17 FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) awards. It has also led the development of over 150 external standards and design specifications for national, industry, local, group, and enterprise levels. With a comprehensive qualification system centered on three Class A comprehensive qualifications in engineering design, surveying, and consulting, supplemented by over 30 specialized qualifications, the institute has established innovative platforms such as the "National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Construction and Maintenance for Extreme Environment Geotechnical and Tunnel Engineering," the "Railway Industry Engineering Research Center for Construction Technology of Extraordinary Complex Environment Long-Term Tunnels," the "Shaanxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Railway and Underground Transportation Engineering," and the "China Railway Construction BIM Engineering Laboratory."
